Registering for gifts is fun and exciting, but don’t be scared to stray away from the typical items such as traditional kitchen appliances. Here are some household essentials that tend to be over looked, but should definitely be on every new couple and house owner’s registry:
Cast Iron Pans – the usual cookware is a given, but make sure you have these on your list of must haves, too.
Quality Bedding – ensure they match your theme and colouring of your bedroom. Remember, you will want at least a couple of pairs of sheets, and a winter and summer duvet/comforter.
Vacuum – just in case you forget, this is definitely a necessity. Don’t be afraid to ask for different sized ones either.
Storage/Bins – Whether it be plastic bins for the basement or decorative baskets filled with blankets to adorn your family room, you can never have too many.
Tool Kit – Try to get one with the works to avoid buying tools as you need them, to from having a junk drawer filled with random screwdrivers and measuring tapes.
Coffee/Espresso/Tea Machine – Look for a high-end one that does all three, and you’ll be set!
Camera/Dvd Player/Electronics – A high-quality camera (right in time for your honeymoon), and other electronics, while not necessities, make for great gifts that you will definitely get use out of.
Baking Pans – You may find yourself in the mood for cupcakes one day; you want to be prepared.
Camping gear – only if applicable, but if you and your newly wed are campers, new gear with space conserving storage is a unique and thoughtful gift.
Luggage – If you don’t have any already, or are looking to upgrade before the honeymoon, luggage is a must for your list.
LE CREUSET cookware – Every household needs at least one Le Creuset product; they bring colour and quality to your kitchen.
Bath AND beach towels – Remember to keep them natural or to go with your bathroom themes.
Multi Purpose Cake Stand – Great for entertaining or just leaving on your kitchen table with the occasional sweet treat.
