Simply stunning was an understatement when walking into Miranda and Cristian’s timeless wedding reception in the King George Ballroom. Adorned in white linens and florals the room was elegant and refined and allowed for the bride and groom to radiate while enjoying the simple pleasures of friends and family all throughout the night!
Tell us a bit about your event you hosted at LiUNA Station!
We celebrated our wedding reception at LiUNA Station on August 24, 2024 in the stunning King George Ballroom!
What were some of the sources of inspiration behind the look and feel of your event?
We were inspired to create our wedding look and feel to be simply elegant, timeless and fun!
Share with us your number one couldn’t live without décor piece or tastiest food option from our catered menu!
Our number one and tastiest food option that we could not live without was the Supreme Antipasto Bar (https://liunastation.com/liuna-station/weddings/menus/)! It is our favourite feature at LiUNA Station as it is exceptionally thought out and has the most delicious cheeses, meats, breads, fish and more. One thing that stood out at our reception was the addition of a live pasta station that freshly prepared fusilli in beautiful red and white sauces to be enjoyed by all. This was very special to us as it is a traditional pasta from where my grandparents are from in a small town near Naples, Italy and is a favourite for many!
Our number one décor piece or rental would have to be the Photobooth from SmartBooth Images (https://smartboothimages.ca/). We had so much fun with our guests and got to take home a photo guest book as a beautiful memory.
What is the one piece of advice you would give someone planning their big day!
Keep it simple, enjoy the process, and have FUN!
What moment during your event will forever be etched into your memory?
Our full, lively, and ecstatic dance floor all evening will be forever etched into our memories. Both of our families and all of our friends danced together and had a blast! We honoured our Italian and Croatian heritages with traditional folk dances such as the Tarantella Napoletana and Croatian Kolo. It was so special to us to have our grandparents present and dancing with us to their favourite music, as well as upbeat hits for the younger generation. Our dance floor was inclusive to all and it was so nice to see everyone joining in on the fun!

MVP – What vendor couldn’t you live without?!
We absolutely could not live without our DJ Steven Farrugia He was an amazing DJ and MC for our wedding reception. DJ Comino is excellent at his work, and was so attentive and supportive of our needs and wishes. Most importantly, he kept the party going all night long with a full dance floor!
