The help and support that our community members give is phenomenal and we could not be more proud or grateful to be a part of and host the 10th Anniversary 2024 Volta Luso Volta Charities – Walk and Cycle community event, taking place on July 14th! Luso is exceptional and make great contributions in changing lives in a positive way.

Luso is a registered charity serving disabled adults since 2003. Luso was conceived as a place to provide much needed programs and support services for individuals and their families, living with disabilities.
Luso provides exceptional, caring programs for adults with physical and/or developmental disabilities, thanks to the hard work and commitment of many dedicated volunteers, community members and organizations. We offer accessible, coordinated, and sustainable services and provide Day Programs and support services that promote social inclusion and personal growth. We do not receive ongoing government funding.
Luso provides a safe, secure, and empowering environment where participants can thrive. The best feedback we receive is the smile on our participants’ faces! At the end of each day, they are eager for more and can’t wait to be back at Luso the next morning! This is what keeps us going.
How can people interested in helping support you?
Our Annual Fundraiser events support our mission to provide high quality programs and services to individuals living with disabilities and their families. Without the presence of ongoing government funding, Luso relies upon and appreciates the support of our strong community supporters.

Absolutely! Collaborating with vendors is crucial for success. We love collaborating with all LiUNA locals such as LiUNA Local 837 (https://liunalocal837.com/), LiUNA Local 183 (https://liunalocal183.ca/), LiUNA Local 506 (https://local506.ca/home/) and others. We really appreciate the ongoing support we receive from all the LiUNA locals that makes a significant difference in the lives of Luso participants and their families.
