Classic, Vintage, Garden and DIY Weddings | LiUNA Station Reflects on Some of Our Favourite Wedding Trends of 2022!
We are going to take a quick walk through of some of our favourite trending themes of 2022 – from classic, vintage, garden and DIY weddings we have had the pleasure of hosting a wide range of amazing events over the past year! Here’s our round-up of 2022 wedding trends we loved!
The first wedding that comes to mind is Jessica’s and Scott who had their ceremony in the Grand Lobby, and it was an absolutely gorgeous vintage theme! The red carpet and a stage at the front really played off of our building’s old charm. The décor and majesty of our building created a dynamic atmosphere for all to enjoy! We love that the couple really played into our venues strengths and this is a trend we hope never goes away!
Rebecca and David’s Fresh flowers were gorgeous – they said they could not have their wedding without fresh flowers! Flowers ranged from their bridal party bouquets to large bouquets of flowers atop both tall and short centerpieces to elevate the space with different levels of florals. Their flowers were a mixture of white hydrangea, white roses, blush pink roses and dusty pink roses with burgundy ranunculus – it was a picture perfect bunch! We absolutely love when couples play with colours, textures, heights and arrangements to create a very unique feeling to their special event.
For Rebecca and Josh they used mostly Pinterest and Social Media trends when deciding on décor and the overall look and feel they wanted for their wedding. Rebecca was able to create and DIY the entire wedding as she knew she wanted to create a clean, timeless look with greenery, white linens and florals as well as implement gold touches to compliment the venue ambiance and details! DIY done right is an absolute trend we love. Not only does it at times save the couple some décor dollars, but it adds such a beautifully ‘you’ feeling to the entire event!
We loved Tori and Carter’s wedding décor inspo – the flowers were bright, romantic, wild and garden-like! All décor pieces were handpicked with intention and a purpose to be repurposed! Does it get any better than that – repurposing decreases so much waste – amazing. For the décor and the overall feel of the venue they mixed their love of vintage with a modern feel and merged their own two personal styles together. By mixing a very royal and glamorous colour palette with the rich purples, golds, lots of organically styled floral with mismatched retro brass candlesticks and engraved glass votive holders, it was truly one-of-a-kind!
