Gorgeous hues of peach, plum and red enchanted the King George Ballroom in September for Jackilyn and Jayson’s wedding reception. Surrounded by loving family and friends they celebrated their romantic nuptials with dancing and good food all while embracing every single moment of their special day!
Tell us a bit about your event you hosted at LiUNA Station!
Our wedding was on Saturday Sept 16, 2023 at LiUNA Station in the King George Ballroom. We were so blessed to have about 190 friends and family show their love and support.
What were some of the sources of inspiration behind the look and feel of your event?
We truly wanted a traditional romantic theme. We fell in love with the King George’s intimate setting, especially their lighting capabilities. Also, we were very fortunate to have Karen, from Presence Event Design to help us find inspiration as well as the occasional Tiktok videos.

The tastiest food option that we couldn’t live without was the crème brûlée. It tasted silky smooth and the crust was a delicious golden brown — just perfect.
What is the one piece of advice you would give someone planning their big day!
Relax and enjoy! The day of your wedding passes by quickly, so it’s important to stay present and fully embrace the moment.
What moment during your event will forever be etched into your memory?
One of the moments that will be forever etched into our memory was our first look of the ballroom. By the time we reached the reception venue we had the privilege to have a private look before our guest. It was truly surreal as we experienced the transformation of all the meticulous planning and incredible efforts of our vendors into a breathtaking reality.
