Choose a venue with a welcoming ambiance that can set the tone of your event, from the moment your guests arrive. Other important questions to consider are, does the style of the venue align with your event theme and or corporate brand? Venue Seeker suggests, “it could be useful to visit the venues before making a final decision…for example, if your corporate event is elegant and very high-end, then it is important to not choose a venue which is the complete opposite of the event theme.”
Services and Restrictions
After you have researched the food, beverages and ambiance of potential corporate venues, have you done your due diligence in finding the types of other services offered? Venues that can provide a list of skilled preferred vendors who you can work with, are extremely helpful to ensure your event runs smoothly. The Balance suggests asking the following questions:
- Does this venue offer additional services like catering, floral arrangements, linen and table rentals, etc.?
- Does this venue have a setup and clean up crew?
- Does this venue restrict what other vendors you work with?
- Does this venue have food and beverage minimums?
Parking
Residents living in the GTHA know how frustrating it can be when you can’t find parking! Look for a venue that can properly accommodate all your guests.
