Nothing says romance like a beautiful waterfall and there is absolutely no shortage of waterfalls in our great city. You may have heard of a little place called Niagara Falls just a short drive from the Hammer, but did you know that Hamilton is actually the waterfall capital of the world? Residents and visitors have the opportunity to witness over 100 waterfalls in the Hamilton area. Just imagine the photo opportunities!
Feeling Outdoorsy?
Whether you’re an avid hiker or just looking to breathe in some fresh air, Hamilton has the right path for you. There are several walking and biking trails including Bruce Trail Conservancy, Chippawa Trail, Dundas Valley Conservation Area and the Escarpment Rail Trail, to name a few. It’s a great opportunity to get out with family and friends, take in the beauty of mother nature and get a little exercise while you’re at it!
Home is Where the H-Art Is
Hamilton’s art and music scene is growing by the second. Every second Friday night of the month you can experience the James North Art Crawl. Galleries, shops and studios open their doors for visitors to experience the work of so many of Hamilton’s talented artists. If you’re a fan of live music you should also check out the lineup of amazing artists who plan on making stops in Hamilton in 2017. The iconic Gord Downie of the Tragically Hip once declared that the city of Hamilton is the best place for live music and one of his favourite cities to perform in. We agree!
We’ve Got Spirit!
To say that Hamilton sports fans have got spirit would be an understatement. We are proud of our athletes and love getting out to cheer on our hometown teams. While you’re in Hamilton for your event at Liuna Gardens, you should get in the spirit and make your way to a Hamilton Tiger-Cats football game or head to the FirstOntario Centre to watch the Hamilton Bulldogs hit the ice.
Nothing to Wine About
Ontario makes some great wine, and so much of it comes from the gorgeous vineyards surrounding Hamilton. While you’re in the area for your event at Liuna Gardens, why not take a little drive to the gorgeous Niagara-on-the-Lake? Visit the Old Town shopping district, boutiques, delicious restaurants, museums and theatre, all steps from Ontario’s most popular wineries. We’ll drink to that!
