Beneath shimmering chandeliers, clouds of baby’s breath evoked a dreamlike charm across our iconic King George Ballroom, setting the stage for Alicia and David’s romantic winter celebration. The warmth and cheer of the holiday season filled the air as family and friends gathered to witness their heartfelt “I do’s.” Signature cocktails, hundreds of candles, and soft glistening light created a magical atmosphere — the perfect blend of elegance and intimacy to celebrate their forever after.
Tell us a bit about your event you hosted at LiUNA Station!
We celebrated our wedding at LiUNA Station! I had a winter wedding on December 21st. It wasn’t Christmas themed — my key décor elements were lots of candles (over 400!) paired with white florals and baby’s breath that looked like clouds across the tables, accented with single white roses. It felt very dreamy!
We wanted a subtle touch of Christmas during the day portion, so we served two custom signature drinks — “Warm and Cozy”, a play on an old fashioned, and “Naughty and Nice”, a twist on a vodka cranberry with a cinnamon stick garnish.
What were some of the sources of inspiration behind the look and feel of your event?
I wanted the florals to look like snow. I’ve always loved the romantic glow of candlelight, so that became the heart of my inspiration — soft, elegant, and timeless.

My number one décor piece was definitely the candles! Having over 400 pillar candles across the venue completely transformed the space — it was magical.
As for the food, the Rib Eye Steak served with creamy mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables was absolutely delicious. We also loved the Antipasto Classico, and so many of our guests commented on how incredible every dish was!
What is the one piece of advice you would give someone planning their big day!
Make sure to stay organized and talk to other people who have gone through it before for advice! Hearing other couples’ experiences made planning so much smoother.
What moment during your event will forever be etched into your memory?
Walking into the ballroom for the first time and seeing all of my hard work come to life! Everything looked exactly how I had envisioned it — I was in awe. It was the most magical feeling.
