Ever wonder what all the traditional anniversary gifts are by year? Everyone remembers the first one – paper – which is probably usually in the form of a romantic love letter or anniversary card but the rest get lost in the shuffle of: business, life, marriage, jobs, kids and – lets face it – other cool stuff we can buy and gift for our partners (read: I’m pretty sure none of us would say no to getting a diamond before 60 years together haha!). We found the traditional list courtesy of Hallmark.com. The anniversary gift was supposed to either have part of the item in it, whether made from it or on it.
Some of these gifts were as result of ancient or old wedding traditions and a lot of couples have chosen to switch them for something a little more modern. Remember, you can’t go wrong with roses, chocolate and/or a delicious candlelight dinner!
Happy Anniversary and cheers to many more!
