We are knee deep into the wedding season and we have had so much fun! We’ve been enchanted, captivated and charmed by all of your events. This week we are pulling back the curtains and sharing some of the special people who make the magic happen. Michele is our Sales Coordinator and we had a few questions for her to help better understand the process of putting together someone’s special day!

First off can you tell us a little about your role and what you do on the LiUNA team?!
My role as part of the sales team at LiUNA is getting to meet people and talk about their vision and ideas for their perfect event. When a couple inquires about our venue, they come in for a tour. Afterwards we sit down and discuss the menus and options we offer; they leave with a proposal so they can discuss if we are the right fit for them.

What Is Your Favourite Thing About Your Job?
Meeting everyone! I’ve had anywhere from one to eight people in my office to sit in for a proposal. We always have fun discussing potential menus and ideas for their upcoming event. Being part of the preparation and creating relationships with my clients means a lot to me.
What type of challenges do you face and how do you overcome them?
Sometimes getting family members on the same page can be challenging but not impossible! I like to hear everyone’s ideas and then put them together so a compromise can be reached. This can take a few discussions but ultimately everyone is happy in the end.

What event are you looking forward to most in the coming months?
I look forward to all of my events. They are unique and I love the details that my clients so meticulously plan. Sometimes it’s just the client and I who knows, and I can’t wait for the guest’s reactions. If I had to pick one that stands out it is for a birthday party. The family lives in a different province so we planned it over zoom and a few phone calls. I appreciated the trust my client put in me and LiUNA Station. It’s going to be a great party!
