Winter weddings can be magical, moody, merry and unmatched by anything you’ve ever seen. The season really pushes you to think outside the box from the venue to the menu selection to bridal attire. Your creativity really needs to be unleashed to capture the magic of snowy Canadian winters! Below we have included inspiration from the blizzardy season, winter florals, warm foods and early sunsets– to help you create the most perfect winter wedding!

First things first, timing is everything! Winter weddings can be tricky with the holiday season but if you’re looking to make the most of the season the best time to book is between December 28th to 31st. Winter dates extend merrily into the New Year and when booking in January and February it can also be more budget friendly. A friendly reminder to plan around the sunlight, we suggest creating space on your schedule for bridal photos and your ceremony to happen approximately 2 hours prior to the natural light disappearing into the skyline. Evening photos are also a must for winter weddings – so magical and whimsical!

Another showstopper is infusing outside elements into your interior décor such as using gorgeous white trees with string lights with faux fur chair covers– it’s winter wonderland perfection in your ceremony space!
