Can you share a memorable event that truly showcased what this venue does best?
“There are numerous events that come to mind that stand out so not one in particular, for example, we hosted the Molson mystery mansion event a few years back which was extraordinary as well as numerous JUNO events. Every event brings a special charm and we are thrilled to be part of them all.”
Let’s talk about food- what is your personal favourite LiUNA Station menu item?
“I really love our antipasto bar. The variety of delicacies on it is incredible. What sets it apart for me is the quality of each item. We don’t just put cheese out, we use the finest cheeses available. The salami isn’t run-of-the-mill either, we exclusively use Pingue prosciutto and other meats from Niagara Specialty that are a cut above the rest. The amount of seafood we include, like crab claws, is standard for us. I think our antipasto bar has truly become our identity.”
If you could give corporate and special event clients one piece of advice to ensure their event is truly successful, what would it be — and why?
“It would definitely depend on the type of corporate event being hosted. Each event is unique and has different needs. That said, emphasizing food will always give guests a wonderful experience regardless of the event. People always remember if they had a great meal, and that reflects on both the event and the client.”
What excites you most about the future of this venue?
“Knowing our standards will never change gives me confidence that we will always provide our clients with a wonderful experience. It makes my 38 years with LiUNA feel truly gratifying, having been part of such a great team and organization.”
What’s the most rewarding part of your role as GM?
“Knowing that we execute successful events and give people a positive, memorable experience is incredibly rewarding. Reading all the positive reviews we receive is gratifying.”
