Our majestical King George Ballroom was overflowing with romance, laughter, and the warmth of friends and family as we celebrated the love story of Sophia and Oskar. Their day was a beautiful synergy of tradition and emotion—seamlessly blending both Chinese and Western customs. With soft hues of dusty rose and champagne, the glow of candlelight, and lush draped greenery, the atmosphere was timeless, elegant, and deeply personal to the sweet couple.

Tell us a bit about your event you hosted at LiUNA Station!
We celebrated our wedding day at LiUNA Station with a ceremony and reception that reflected both Chinese and Western traditions. Hosting everything in the stunning King George Ballroom made the day feel even more magical. What meant the most to us was having so many of our loved ones travel from near and far—Hong Kong, the U.S., and across Canada—to be with us. Their presence filled the day with extra love and meaning, creating memories we will cherish forever.
What were some of the sources of inspiration behind the look and feel of your event?
I’ve always admired the grand, elegant, and historic charm of LiUNA Station, which set the tone for our design. We leaned into a timeless and romantic aesthetic with a palette of dusty rose, blush, champagne, and muted greens. These soft hues enhanced the beauty of the venue rather than competing with it, creating a refined yet inviting atmosphere.

Share with us your number one couldn’t live without décor piece or tastiest food option from our catered menu!
For décor, the dreamy combination of blush, ivory, and light pink florals paired with muted greenery and glowing candles was a must-have. It captured exactly the soft, romantic atmosphere we envisioned. As for food, the AAA 8oz New York Steak stole the show—our guests still rave about it!

What is the one piece of advice you would give someone planning their big day!
Hire a day-of coordinator—it truly makes all the difference! Ours handled every little detail, allowing me to feel calm and completely present. Don’t be afraid to lean on your vendors, your bridal party, and your family; they want to help. Most importantly, take moments throughout the day to pause, breathe, and soak it all in. The day goes by so quickly, but those little pauses are what make the memories last. Thanks to our incredible support system, our wedding ended up being the most relaxing, joy-filled day of my life.

What moment during your event will forever be etched into your memory?
During our thank-you speech, we looked out and saw all our friends and family gathered together—many who had traveled such long distances just to celebrate with us. Watching their smiles, hearing their laughter, and seeing their tears of joy was one of the most powerful and heartwarming moments of the entire day. That memory of connection and togetherness will stay with us forever.

MVP – What vendor couldn’t you live without?!
It’s impossible to choose just one—our entire vendor team was extraordinary. Our MC made sure every guest felt included by hosting in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin while we were busy with outfit changes. Our floral designer created an atmosphere beyond what we had dreamed of. Our photographer and videographer captured every emotion and even surprised us with a breathtaking same-day edit to share during the reception. Our day-of coordinator kept the day seamless and stress-free, and my makeup artist made me feel like the most beautiful woman alive. We couldn’t have asked for a more talented, caring team to bring our vision to life.
