The flickering candle light set the tone for an evening of romance- Jessica and Anthony’s wedding warmed our Grand Central Ballroom with a soft colour pallet and decadent blooms creating delightfully charming ambiance. Surrounded by family and friends, this radiant couple created an atmosphere unlike we have ever seen or felt before, it was truly unforgettable.
Tell us a bit about your event you hosted at LiUNA Station!
We hosted our wedding in the Grand Central Ballroom and it was truly the best day of our lives. The team at LiUNA was incredible from start to finish. From our very first meeting, they were attentive, responsive, and committed to bringing our vision to life. They listened carefully to every detail and went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met.
What were some of the sources of inspiration behind the look and feel of your event?
Our vision was moody romance, and we brought it to life with thousands of roses and hundreds of candles. A palette of black, blush, mauve, and ivory was woven throughout creating an atmosphere that was both intimate and romantic.

The décor piece we couldn’t live without was the combination of blush, mauve, and ivory florals paired with glowing candles – they set the tone for a soft, romantic, and truly magical atmosphere.
The tastiest food option was the braised beef served over a bed of garlic mashed potatoes, with broccolini and heirloom carrots. It was the perfect blend of rich, comforting, and elegant – truly unforgettable!
What is the one piece of advice you would give someone planning their big day!
Hire a month of coordinator – your sanity will thank you! Having someone manage the details in those finals weeks made all the difference. It allowed us to enjoy the lead-up to the day and be fully present on the day, knowing everything was in great hands!
What moment during your event will forever be etched into your memory?
When the best man had the entire hall belly laughing with his hilarious speech. We still laugh about it to this day!
