It is truly magically to see when a bride’s vision comes to life at LIUNA Gardens. We are still in awe of last week’s Pinterest inspired bridal shower. We recently caught up with bride-to-be Sabrina, who filled us in on her experience at LIUNA Gardens, including her talented squad that created a truly Insta ready brunch and bubbly bridal shower. Read our mini interview below to get the details. Needless to say, we are excited to host Sabrina and Daniel’s upcoming wedding in September!
Bridal Shower Date: June 24, 2018
LG: Tell us a little bit about yourself and your husband?
SC: I’m a registered nurse on labour and delivery at St. Joseph’s healthcare. My fiancé Daniel owns his own martial arts studio, Global Martial Arts Academy. We went to the same elementary school and high school, but never spoke to each other until we were well out of university. He messaged me on Facebook one day asking me to go out for coffee, and 15 months later we were engaged!
LG: How did Daniel pop the question?
SC: I don’t like a lot of attention, so he proposed in our family room on New Year’s Eve. And then we went and spent the rest of the night celebrating with family and friends 🙂
LG: There are so many special event venues out there – what made LIUNA Gardens stand out among the rest for your Bridal Shower?
SC: I chose LIUNA because I loved the location right near the water. And the fact that we had the opportunity to use the patio to have an outdoor feel vs. just a hall. Unfortunately it was raining but it was still a beautiful day 🙂
LG: Describe the meal that was served on your Bridal Shower?
SC: I love going out for brunch so I new that’s exactly what I wanted. My theme was brunch and bubbly. So we had mimosas, smoothies, omelettes, waffles, and every type of breakfast food you could think of!
LG: Describe the quality of service you received at LIUNA Gardens?
SC: The quality of service LIUNA Gardens gave was above all others. They let my mom go in early at 7 am to start setting up with my bridesmaids and family. Everything was so organized and they listened to all of my wants and needs and carried them out to perfection.
LG: Looking back, what would you say is your favourite memory from your special day?
SC: My favourite part of the day was looking out at all my family and friends that were there to support me. It was a big shower of 140 ladies, and it’s so nice to know I have so many loved ones in one room.
LG: Would you recommend LIUNA Gardens to a friend for his or her next event? If so, why?
SC: Of course I would recommend LIUNA Gardens to friends and family! The quality of food is always spectacular and they were so accommodating! And of course the location is beautiful!
A special shout out to Sabrina’s Mom who started collecting decorations as soon as Sabrina and Daniel got engaged on December 31 2016. All of Sabrina’s Pinterest ideas came to life thanks to her Mom and support from her bridal party. As a FYI her Mom made the paper flower wall, and each flower took 45 minutes to prep! Don’t ever underestimate the power of a Mother’s love 🙂
