For Brittany and Tyson, their wedding was the perfect opportunity to bring a beloved fairytale to life. Inspired by the timeless romance of Beauty and the Beast, they created an elegant and enchanting celebration filled with royal blue and gold, blue roses, whimsical character details, and deeply personal touches that made their happily ever after uniquely theirs.
Tell us a bit about your event you hosted at LiUNA Station!
Every little girl dreams of a fairytale wedding, and for us, there was no better inspiration than Beauty and the Beast. We wanted our wedding to capture the romance, elegance, and timeless love story of the classic tale while still feeling uniquely us. Rather than creating a themed event that felt like a costume party, we focused on bringing the magic of the enchanted castle to life through beautiful details, meaningful moments, and a touch of Disney magic.
Our wedding palette featured royal blue, gold, and touches of gunmetal grey, creating a luxurious and romantic atmosphere. Royal blue represented Belle’s iconic gown, while shimmering gold reflected the grandeur of the Beast’s castle. We chose blue roses throughout our décor as our own twist on the enchanted rose, giving our wedding a unique and elegant look that tied everything together.
One of the most talked-about details from our wedding was our collection of 3D-printed Beauty and the Beast characters. We displayed Belle, the Beast, Lumière, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, Chip, and other beloved characters throughout our reception. They added a fun, whimsical touch while still blending beautifully with our elegant décor. Guests loved discovering the characters around the room, and they became a unique conversation piece that made our wedding feel even more magical.
From the moment guests arrived, we wanted them to feel as though they had stepped into an enchanted ballroom. Soft candlelight, elegant table settings, and carefully chosen décor created a warm, romantic atmosphere without overpowering the celebration. Every detail was thoughtfully selected to reflect the magic of the story while keeping the focus on what truly mattered—our love and the beginning of our new life together.
One of the most meaningful moments of our wedding day wasn’t something we had planned. Throughout the day, we kept seeing butterflies. To many people they are simply beautiful creatures, but to me, butterflies have always been a reminder of my late cousin. Seeing them appear on one of the biggest days of our lives brought an overwhelming sense of peace and comfort. It felt as though they were there in spirit, celebrating alongside us and reminding us that love continues long after someone is gone. It became one of those quiet, unforgettable moments that I’ll cherish forever.
Throughout the reception, we incorporated personal touches that made the day unforgettable. Guests enjoyed a beautiful cookie table, signed our date night guest book with ideas for future adventures, took home personalized keepsakes, and celebrated with us through heartfelt speeches, dancing, games, and laughter. Our memorial table honored loved ones who couldn’t be with us, reminding us that they were still part of our special day.
One of our favorite parts of planning was weaving subtle Beauty and the Beast details throughout the wedding instead of making them obvious. The inspiration could be seen in the colors, florals, elegant signage, our custom décor, and the 3D-printed characters placed around the venue. These thoughtful touches allowed guests to recognize the theme while still experiencing a sophisticated and timeless celebration.
More than anything, Beauty and the Beast symbolizes a love that grows through kindness, trust, friendship, and choosing each other every single day. Those values perfectly reflected our relationship and the marriage we were beginning together.
Looking back, our wedding was everything we dreamed it would be—romantic, elegant, joyful, and filled with unforgettable memories. It wasn’t just inspired by a fairytale; it was the start of our own happily ever after. Every detail, from the blue roses to the enchanted décor and our custom 3D-printed characters, came together to tell our love story in a way that felt completely authentic to us. And perhaps the most beautiful detail of all wasn’t one we planned—it was the butterflies that reminded me my late cousin was with us in spirit, making our happily ever after feel just a little more complete.

What were some of the sources of inspiration behind the look and feel of your event?
“One of our biggest sources of inspiration was Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. I have been a Beauty and the Beast fan ever since I was a little girl, so incorporating that timeless fairytale into our wedding was something I had always dreamed of. We wanted our day to have a romantic, elegant atmosphere inspired by the story’s themes of love, loyalty, and finding your forever person, while still feeling uniquely like us.
Our colour palette of royal blue, gold, and gunmetal grey helped bring that vision to life. We paired those colours with blue roses, candlelight, and elegant details to create a warm, magical atmosphere that subtly reflected the fairytale without feeling over-the-top.
Most importantly, we wanted our wedding to reflect our relationship. We focused on creating a celebration that felt welcoming, fun, and full of love for our family and friends. Every detail—from our personalized décor and wedding signs to the meaningful speeches, music, and little personal touches—was chosen to tell our story and celebrate the beginning of our next chapter together.”

“All the 3d printed center pieces. I had so many compliments from loved ones, and guests, that wanted to take them home, as well as our car air fresheners for keepsakes. Also, the pasta and salad from the event and of course, the dessert. My guests wanted to come back just for the dessert.
What is the one piece of advice you would give someone planning their big day?
Don’t rush the planning process. Tyson and I were supposed to do a destination wedding, but that didn’t work out. We had 6 months to plan a wedding, and for 6 months of work, this felt like a dream.”
What moment during your event will forever be etched into your memory?
“Our ceremony – from the minute I went down the aisle, all my attention was on my now husband. I didn’t look at the guests or the officiant. I looked at my husband and was in the moment with him, even though crying during my personal vows and holding his shaking hand through his personal vows.”
