Tell us a bit about your event you hosted at LiUNA Station!
“We hosted our Barat at LiUNA Station. This was the third and largest event of our four-part Pakistani wedding. Traditionally, this event is the main wedding day and reception hosted by the bride’s family.
Everything about LiUNA Station was spectacular, from the beautiful gardens where we had our sunset photoshoot, to the incredible staff. Patricia Selway was wonderful, and the elegance of the ballroom and lobby made it the perfect venue for such a meaningful celebration.
What were some of the sources of inspiration behind the look and feel of your event?
Much of our time together has been spent in New York City since we moved there in 2023. When we first came across LiUNA Station’s Grand Central Ballroom, we immediately knew our reception had to be there. The vintage aesthetic, and even the name of the ballroom itself, tied so perfectly into our memories of NYC.
We had our engagement shoot at Grand Central Station in New York and incorporated those photos into our welcome signs and wedding newspaper. Everything felt cohesive and deeply personal. It all came together beautifully.”

“What stood out most for us was our cake and dessert table. Just Temptations brought our grand six-tier cake vision to life and created a stunning dessert display, complete with a delicious chocolate fountain. It was both beautiful and unforgettable.”
What is the one piece of advice you would give someone planning their big day!
“Cherish every moment on the day of. There will inevitably be stressful moments because so much is happening all at once, but focusing on the joy and taking everything in makes all the difference.”
What moment during your event will forever be etched into your memory?
“It is so hard to choose just one. Every moment was special including entrances, our first dance, and the cake cutting, all of which flowed so seamlessly. Our sunset photoshoot was magical, and seeing all of our family and friends together, along with reconnecting with old friends from high school, made the day incredibly meaningful.”
