Tell us a bit about your event you hosted at LiUNA Station!
“We hosted our wedding reception in the Grand Central Ballroom, and it was truly one of the most memorable nights of our lives. Our family and friends filled the historic space with so much love and tradition. Incorporating Serbian music and customs added a sentimental and vibrant touch to our celebration. The event was simple, elegant, and absolutely perfect!”
What were some of the sources of inspiration behind the look and feel of your event?
“Simplicity and affordability were key. Neither of us remembers any elaborate centerpieces at weddings, and we find them distracting when trying to have a conversation across the table. We wanted the focus to be on the people, not the décor, so we kept it simple and unobtrusive.”

What is the one piece of advice you would give someone planning their big day!
“Do as much as you can ahead of time—things like invitations, seating charts, and table numbers. Keep knocking things off your list and just keep going. I planned everything by myself, and by the week before the wedding, all I had to do was attend my final appointments. I didn’t have to worry about anything else, and thank goodness for that! Also, don’t forget to book your honeymoon ASAP!”
What moment during your event will forever be etched into your memory?
“Our first walk as husband and wife into the ballroom was an unforgettable moment, one that will forever be etched in time. It was the start of our new journey together, and it’s a memory we’ll always cherish.”
