Winter weddings! Moody, romantic, warm, or industrial we love are loving your vision boards! Mother natures beauty is sure hard to beat this time of year but this week we are giving you some inspiration to give it a real shot! Here are some phenomenal 2019/2020 winter wedding trends that we are going head over heals for!

Let’s talk colour! MarthaStewartWeddings.com says that ‘event designer Jessica Sloane explains that weddings “are getting edgier,” something we’ll see come to fruition in many ways next year. This is particularly interesting, since moodier accents are in direct contrast with the romantic blush décor, soft textures, and bright photography that’s dominated the wedding scene in recent years. Wendy Kay of  Birds of a Feather Events noticed this, as well—she notes that more and more couples will become more “adventurous with palettes” by “mixing colors that traditionally would not go together” in the new year.

Creating that perfect ambiance for a dreamy winter’s eve can be complemented by the perfect lighting. Lanterns, chandeliers, string or draped lights with tables adorned by candelabras and/or tea lights are just a few of the ways to achieve your perfect lighting goals. But check out TheKnot.com for some great lighting tips!

Décor – texture, plaids, pinecones and more! There are so many ways to dress up your reception space! Weddingwire.com notes: ‘acrylic will continue to be a trending wedding detail throughout 2019. Expect to see this translucent material used for signage, creative place cards, invitations, charger plates, and even rental furniture, such as ghost chairs and accent tables. While it seems quite contemporary at first, acrylic wedding decor is surprisingly versatile depending on how you use it. Pair acrylic details with flowers and swooping calligraphy for a modern romance theme, metallics and mirrors for a glam theme, or wood accents and neutral colors for a minimalistic look inspired by Scandinavian design.’

Let them eat cake! Delicious, rich and a place where the imagination can go wild! Donut cakes, cookies tiers and cake pops are all being used in the most beautiful minimalistic ways. Simple, elegant, rustic all these set ups will truly have you wanting to try a bit of everything! Just look at this red velvet dream with perfectly placed holly and ivy and when accompanied with a delicious hot chocolate bar, it really couldn’t be more perfect!

Bouquets and boutonnieres are personal and unique expressions of the soon-to-be couple. Weddingforward.com  says that ‘December to February brides have a unique opportunity to have a very non-traditional winter wedding bouquets. Brides can incorporate such decoration elements as berries, snowflakes, coniferous evergreen branches, pinecones and even Christmas ornaments. If you are going with a white wedding decor, your bouquet is also an opportunity to have bright hues like red or purple for extra color in your photos.’
