Looking for a twist to the hanging floral trend? Why not add some fun balloons to transform your space. The Knot suggests, “Pair colorful Mylar options with basic latex balloons in varied sizes for a real “wow” factor. Neon Lights

Shout out to all our 90’s readers, neon lights are BACK! This comeback is a wedding decor trend that we will be seeing in 2018. As Wedding Wire mentions, “there are a million different ways to use these glowing creations in your wedding decor, from a catchy phrase, to your last name, to a simple shape.” This trend is also a perfect take home piece after your big day, you can use this memento as a home decor.  Photo: Love Inc.

Velvet Fever

Another comeback we are seeing in wedding decor trends is velvet! We recommend adding this textured decor piece within your table setting, and or create a personalized area for guests to relax and mingle with some velvet furniture. As Wedding Wire states, “it’s a beautiful choice for table runners or wedding lounge furniture, or as accents on things like your invitation suite and place settings. The great part is its versatility — velvet can work for nearly any wedding style, from classic and formal to bohemian and artsy.”

BEAUTY TRENDS

Stuck on choosing your beauty look this summer? We recommend booking a trial with your chosen makeup artist before your big day, to ensure you two are on the same page. Some beauty trends we’ve noticed include dramatic eyes and golden highlights for brides this year. As French Wedding Style mentions, “makeup influences took a dramatic edge for this year.  Lots of black eyeliner in different shapes and styles which can be softened or replaced with dark browns for a subtler wedding look. Golden highlighters used to create ‘halo’ like effects on the skin are perfect for the ethereal wedding look.”

Bridal Gowns

For readers looking for non-traditional bridal gowns, we are noticing that the 2018 bride is all about texture. Elle highlights, “get graphic in the sweetest way possible. Three-dimensional embellishment adds texture to a plain white dress, and ensures a clean yet unforgettable style.” And for our boho brides looking for something more simple, Elle mentions, “try a softly ruffled cap sleeve or cut-out shoulder. The feminine (and flattering) style will blow softly in the wind at your inevitable outdoor wedding.”

Grooms Suits

We won’t say black tuxedos are out of style, but for grooms who are tying the knot this summer, we suggest light jackets and royal blue attire. These nontraditional looks are becoming trendy for couples who are steering away from tradition, and want a more relaxed vibe on their big day. As Rock My Wedding highlights on the benefits of wearing light jackets, “not only are the shades perfect for complementing soft and romantic colour schemes, but these tones are also gorgeous for summer months.” For couples who want to add colour to the traditional black and white themed wedding, royal blue is a perfect choice to brighten up your big day, and pairs nicely with tan shoes.

After you have researched the food, beverages and ambiance of potential corporate venues, have you done your due diligence in finding the types of other services offered? Venues that can provide a list of skilled preferred vendors who you can work with, are extremely helpful to ensure your event runs smoothly. The Balance suggests asking the following questions:

• Does this venue offer additional services like catering, floral arrangements, linen and table rentals, etc.?

• Does this venue have a setup and clean up crew?

• Does this venue restrict what other vendors you work with?

• Does this venue have food and beverage minimums?

Parking

Guests will be greeted in our gorgeous, historical venue with a variety of hot and cold hor d’oeuvres including our Antipasto Classico with Bruschetta. The evening will continue with LIUNA’s own homemade lasagna. Your main will consist of mouth watering grilled filet mignon, wild mushroom risotto and sautéed vegetables, chicken supreme and California green salad.

Double chocolate caramel cheesecake will finish off the meal as you are delighted with entertainment from the D.J. Emporium.

Recently we have noticed tons of clients raving about Boudoir Photography and Photoshoots which are making a trendy comeback. What a fun sassy idea for those Brides, Grooms or Couples wanting to try something different or add some spice to their special day! Photographers are shaking things up by expanding their traditional services to include popular client requests such as summer beach shots, glam photos, sultry silhouettes & vintage pin-up makeovers to produce tastefully risqué shots.

There are many different things you can express within your boudoir portraits! You can dress up in full sexy lingerie; You can have the romantic feel of rolling around in the morning bed sheets; Sometimes you just love laying around in that big soft sweater, and that subtly and softness can produce the best boudoir photos. You don’t have to do traditional shots either!

If serious lingerie shots aren’t your cup of tea, make it personal, funny and creative! The most important thing is confidence and letting your photos reflect you. Use your qualities and favorite things in your pictures such as your favorite team, colour, season, a dress shirt and heels, work uniform – the possibilities are endless! Either of you a firefighter? Play with that theme in a photoshoot. Perhaps your wife or yourself are master chefs, foodies or baking aficionados? Toss an apron on capture some shots while you bake up a storm in the kitchen! (Bonus points if you actually gift them what you baked as well as the photos – just saying!). If you aren’t comfortable taking photos baring everything or showing too much skin or feel awkward doing super-sexy photos – you don’t have to! Make them fun by playing into an inside joke or special fandom your partner might like:  superhero shirts are always a good idea.

The photos or albums make a great-morning-of-your-wedding gift but are also a fun idea for Valentine’s Day, Christmas or Anniversaries!  If you have been looking to step outside of your comfort zone try a photoshoot or a couple’s photo session!
