About Last Night | LiUNA Talks Prom Trends!
Proms are in full swing (like what we did there) and our ballrooms are getting sprinkled with playful trends as we write. Each year that passes we could never be more excited about the youthful, fun energy each prom brings. Here are some of the fun things we’ve been seeing throughout the 2023 prom season!

Sweet feminine styling using tulle, ruffles and lace are on the rise as well as pops of sparkle with sequined dresses – this can range from starbursts and flowers to ombre and other varied intricate patterns. Colour is everything this season as we are seeing fluorescent hues and hot pink! Besides cutouts, trains and minis dresses are all about movement and to give you the ability to be carefree and dance the night away.
We are also seeing a lot of high top runners over high heels this year – we love this trend!

Suits have been so individualized and unique to each personality from full black tuxedos to fabulous prints in shirts or jackets you can definitely expect the unexpected! We also love the full head to toe accessories look with bow ties, vests and monk strap shoes to top it off! We also adore the pop of colour in the pocket square or socks to match their date’s dress!
We even spotted a young person who dyed their hair to match the tuxe! We could not get over the colour scheme commitment!

Our ballrooms have never seen so many balloons! We are loving how easy this décor piece is changing up our venue! From archways, full walls or link-o-loons these little air filled dreams can create so many designs simple or intricate and with the addition of led lights to add a touch of whimsy they make for a really great photo backdrop too!

Adorning your date with a sentimental corsage or boutonniere comes down to two things: colour and style! This year we are seeing bright pops of colours on wrists and lapels from barbie pink to peacock teal but don’t let that stop you from doing something a little different, we love seeing unique pieces designed with succulents or even some handmade paper goods!

To top it off, prom wouldn’t be complete without the perfect dinner menu to complement this spectacular evening! Most of our proms have been choosing our fusilli in a tomato basil sauce, herb roasted chicken supreme and the cherry on top our decadent chocolate mousse!
